Privacy Policy

Version: 1.2.3 (from 2019/10/27)

What information we collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Contact information: Email address, when you ask us to remind you about the launch of the product.
  • Your visit information: Your general geo-location (country), and what pages of our website do you visit and when. This information is aggregated and anonymized, and we don’t know which user this information belongs to. Moreover, multiple page visits cannot be correlated to the same user. It is not personally identifiable.

How we protect your information

We take several measures to safeguard the collection, transmission, and storage of the data we collect.

DISCLAIMER: Although we strive to employ reasonable protections for your information that are appropriate to data’s sensitivity, we do not guarantee or warrant the security of the information you share with us, and we are not responsible for the theft, destruction, loss, or inadvertent disclosure of your information or content. No system is 100% secure.

The service uses industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to allow for the encryption of personal information and credit card numbers.

We access your information only via secure networks, and we always use a secure VPN connection when accessing our systems from public networks and WiFi connections.

When and why do we share your information with third-parties

We do not share any of your information with third parties in general.

The following exceptions may apply:

  • To conform to legal requirements, to respond to lawful court orders, subpoenas, warrants, or other requests by public authorities.
  • In case of a business transfer: As we continue to develop our business, we might buy or sell parts or whole businesses, subsidiaries, or business units, or we might change our legal form. In such transactions, customer information, generally, is one of the transferred business assets but remains subject to the promises made in any pre-existing Privacy policy (unless, of course, the customer consents otherwise). Also, in the unlikely event that our business will be acquired as a whole (or substantially all of its assets are acquired), customer information will, of course, be one of the transferred assets.

How do we use the collected information

Anonymized IP address and visit information

In operating our business, we need to capture some information about your device, such as your anonymized IP address, and information related to your visit of our website.

We don’t store your IP address (or its anonymized version). We only use it to determine your general geo-location (country) for the purposes of understanding our user needs better. That general geo-location (country) is attached to information about a page visit.

For example, this might include time-stamp and pages of our site that you’ve visited.

We do that:

  • to assess and improve the performance of our website,
  • to monitor if our website is running correctly.

We collect and store visit information in such a way that it is impossible to correlate different page views to a single user. This data can only be used for aggregate results, that help us understand which parts of our website work well and which don’t.

We collect this information using our own service called Focusmash-API. No 3rd-parties are involved.

Your contact information: Email address

We will use your email address to notify you when there are important updates regarding our product, for example, when the mobile app becomes available in your country.

We may occasionally contact you to provide you with other important news about our company that may affect your interests.

We may occasionally contact you to invite you for a user interview or a user testing session so that we can deliver better results for you, and so that you can have an influence over the products that we create.

You can always unsubscribe out of our communications by sending a reply to one of our emails with one word, "unsubscribe."

Access to your personal data

In the situation where you have directly provided personal information to us (such as by completing an online form or contacting us for further information), you have a number of rights regarding the personal data that we hold:

  • You have the right to obtain from us confirmation about whether any such data is being held;
  • You have the right to require that we provide you with whatever data we are holding/processing about you, including the right for that data to be transferred to another data controller;
  • Even if you have consented to us processing your personal data, you have the right to withdraw that permission at any time;
  • You have the right to require us to rectify any incomplete or incorrect information held about you;
  • You have the right to require us to erase the data held about you (the “right to be forgotten”);

In the situation where we collect personal data automatically (such as from your internet browser):

  • You have the right to object to the legal basis upon which we are collecting this data, and We have an obligation to consider and respond to that objection;
  • You have the right to request the prevention of further processing of your data while your objection is considered;
  • You have the right to make a complaint to the relevant data protection authority (In Berlin/Germany: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (BlnBDI)).
  • In most circumstances, you can exercise these rights without paying a fee to us.
